If you think you can smell gas or if you have a gas leak, the first thing you need to do is make the situation safe.
- Do NOT smoke or light any matches
- Do NOT turn any electrical sockets or light switches On OR Off
- Open doors and windows
- Turn off the meter at the control handle (unless the meter is in a cellar)
- Call the National Grid emergency number on 0800 111 999
Arranging For The Leak To Be Repaired
